Snow Day Math

In math to celebrate the first snow we did a quick study of Pascal's Triangle and then tried to find all the ways to make the word "SNOW." After that we plotted coordinates on a grid to make a snowflake. Can you find all the lines of symmetry?

  1. In my opinion, I like the plotting points on a grid better than Pascal's triangle because it made me think more, and I can see 4 lines of symmetry although I don't think diagonal works because if you look at it sideways, it is slightly off. Overall, this was my favorite day of math.

I think that there are 4 lines of symmetry because I agree that diagonal will not work it is a little off.

  4. I think that there are 4 lines of symmetry. Up and down, across and 2 going diagnol.

  5. # 25 i see 4 lines of symmetry because if you look it like a square you split it by the corner pieces
