In Lit. 1 we have been reading about immigrants to America. Many of the pictures in our book have smiling faces as they leave their homes to come to America. In the video many of the photos show immigrants who are not smiling.
1- What emotions do you think these immigrants are feeling? Why?

NO. 16 I think they feel like the y need to make sacrifices in order to have a better life but they think it is worth it. I'm thinking they also are sad worried and happy all at once because they are worried that they will get sent back, happy that they are starting over, and sad that they had to leave most of their stuff behind.

ReplyDeleteI think they may be feeling sad, homesick and upset. I think this because they had to move away from there homeland because of sicknesses, war and money problems or work. they had to stay on a ship for many months and had to be checked because of health money and what you could do to help. That took A LONG TIME!!!
